Pumpkin Prowl
Fall’s wildest family festival!
It’s time to get wild at Pumpkin Prowl!
Join us Saturday, November 7, for a fun fall day for the whole family. This year’s fest will be our biggest, most activity-filled celebration yet.
Start the fun by decorating our locally sourced pumpkins and building enrichment for our residents to enjoy. Kids can join our costume contest, and then everyone can explore the Park at your own pace. Try to spot which animal gets its paws on your pumpkin!
Throughout the event, kids can participate in trunk-or-treat or play in our bounce house. Everyone can enjoy our temporary tattoo station, nature trails, and food treats for purchase.

Kids can show off their wild side in our costume contest! Dress as your favorite animal, a favorite character, or anything else that makes you feel festive.

Catch special keeper talks and training demonstrations throughout the Park.

Our friendly volunteers will be stationed around the Park to answer questions and share what they love about our animals.
📖 Story Time with Werst
For the first time ever, join us for a very special story time with Werst Sulcata Tortoise!
Event Schedule
11 am – 3 pm
last tickets sold at 2:15 pm (on site)
11 – 11:30 am: Carve or decorate a pumpkin for our animals. We provide all the supplies, included with your admission. Any creations finished after 11:30 am will be shared with our animals on a later date.
11:45 am – 12 pm: Kids can join our costume contest! Come dressed as your favorite wild animal or any other cool character.
12 – 3 pm: Explore the Park at your own pace, watch all of our residents play with their new toys, see keeper talks and training demonstrations, and visit with our friendly volunteers. They’ll be stationed around the Park to answer questions and talk about their favorite species.
In an Animal Park first, you can also join a very special story time with Werst Sulcata Tortoise!
Trunk-or-treat and a bounce house will be open for kids throughout the event. And everyone can enjoy our temporary tattoo station, nature trails, and food treats for purchase from Soulful Pear Tree and Carolina Sugar Clouds.
3 pm: Event ends and Animal Park closes.

Adults (ages 18+): $22 per person
Senior, Students, Military, & First Responders: $20 with ID
Children (3-17): $15 per person
Children under 3 years of age: Free
Please note: This is a self-guided walking tour of the Park on our gravel path.
Make-Up Date

Please note: This event date has a rain/snow make-up date. When you plan your Pumpkin Prowl experience, please also set the rain/snow make-up date aside on your calendar. If there is inclement weather, we will make every effort to contact you at least 24 hours prior to Pumpkin Prowl to alert you to any necessary cancellations. Please check the forecast and plan to dress appropriately for the weather on the day of the event.

Accessibility, Safety, and Pets
The Animal Park is not wheelchair accessible; however, accessibility accommodations are available for visitors with mobility issues. Please note that we are not able to allow unauthorized vehicles, including scooters or motorized wheelchairs, in the Park. If you are planning to visit the Animal Park, please take a moment to review your confirmation email and text to complete our online tour waiver. Waivers will also be available in the gift shop for visitors to complete during check-in.
For safety reasons, the Animal Park cannot allow visitors to bring pets on site. Any visitor who brings an animal to the Park will be asked to leave immediately. No animals may be left unattended in a vehicle.
Due to the uneven surfaces of our tour path, for children’s safety, we cannot allow them to ride in wagons in the Park, and we encourage child sling carriers over strollers. Strollers are allowed, with children secured inside, but at the parent’s sole discretion.
