Educator's Day
Calling All Public School Educators!
You’re invited to experience everything the Animal Park has to offer and discover how our engaging, curriculum-connected field trips can help you achieve your educational goals.
During Educator’s Day, you’ll experience our high-quality field trip program firsthand before sharing with your students! Explore our educational offerings, interact with our animals, and see how our hands-on experiences inspire curiosity, encourage learning, and create lasting memories.
As our way of saying thank you for the incredible work you do, this exclusive event is completely free for public school educators.* You’ll also have the opportunity to reserve a WILD field trip for the upcoming school year.
Wrap up your summer with an unforgettable experience and see why the Animal Park is the perfect destination to spark excitement and learning for you and your students.
These sessions will be offered at 9am and 11am on August 11 and August 12, 2026. We have programs aligned with North Carolina curriculum standards for grades K-8.
*Attendees will be required to provide a school ID badge at check-in.

Accessibility, Safety, and Pets
The Animal Park is not wheelchair accessible; however, accessibility accommodations are available for visitors with mobility issues. Please note that we are not able to allow unauthorized vehicles, including scooters or motorized wheelchairs, in the Park. Find more information about disability accommodations and access in the Tour FAQ on our Plan Your Visit page.
If you are planning to visit the Animal Park, please take a moment to review your confirmation email and text to complete our online tour waiver. Waivers will also be available in the gift shop for visitors to complete during check-in.
For safety reasons, the Animal Park cannot allow visitors to bring pets on site. Any visitor who brings an animal to the Park will be asked to leave immediately. No animals may be left unattended in a vehicle.
Due to the uneven surfaces of our tour path, for children’s safety, we cannot allow them to ride in wagons in the Park, and we encourage child sling carriers over strollers. Strollers are allowed, with children secured inside, but at the parent’s sole discretion.
