The Animal Park is excited to announce our Summer Camp program for the 2020 season- R.A.W.R!

Throughout our 21 year history, the Animal Park at the Conservators Center has supported wildlife education and conservation. Our dedication to public wildlife education extends from our on-site tours to various educational and institutional partnerships the Animal Park maintains. It is through our mission statement, “ educating people, caring for animals, and advocating for species. ” that we are able to benefit both the animals we work with and the community around us.

Our Education Department has created 8 different unique weeks to choose from and we are confident we’ll have one, if not more, that will be the perfect fit for your child(ren)! These camps are perfect for kids between 3rd and 7th grade. Camp cost is $200 per week, or a reduced $150 per week if booking more than one week.

VIRTUAL CAMPS (Live or Self-Paced): The only difference between the in person and virtual camps are the meeting platforms and length of the camps. The live virtual camps are going to be from 3pm – 3:40, Monday through Friday. The self paced camps will be 40 minutes each (five lessons), and they will be launched during week two. You will have a week long access to these self paced videos.

At the beginning of the week, we create a "mess" in the education center and say that one of the animals in the park was responsible. Throughout the week kids will learn more in depth about how to identify animals. Through finding clues such as footprints, scratch marks, smells, fur samples, animal droppings (fake of course), and smells, our little investigators will get to the bottom of the case and find out which animal did this!
