The Animal Park will be hosting a fun fall celebration for Halloween, we call it Howl-O-Ween! A fun way for kids—and even adults—to be able to participate in lots of activities at the Park including: Trunk or Treat, Haunted Park Tour, Haunted Trail, a Fair-themed Field, and S’mores by our fire pit!

All event activities—including your tour—are included in the price of admission!
Not interested in touring the park? That’s okay, you can get an activity-only admission for just $10!

Kids Hours: Kids park hours will take place between 1:00pm-4:00pm.
Adult Hours:  Adult park hours will take place between 4:00pm-9:00pm. This will be 18+ only! 

 

Trunk or Treat is available for children only, and only during “Kids Hours” from 1 to 4pm.

"Kids Hours"

1 to 4pm.
Available activities will include:
  • Trunk or Treat:

    Trunk or Treat will be ONLY for our kid’s hours. Staff members and volunteers will set up their cars in the parking lot with candy and decorations in their open trunks. This way volunteers can stay back and let the children get their candy in a COVID-19 friendly way.

  • Haunted Park Tour:

    The Haunted Trick or Treat tour for the KIDS HOURS will be a fun tour of the Park's residents and guests will get to see the Park decorated for Halloween! There will be some cool “spooky” animal facts posters around the park.

  • Haunted Trail:

    The Haunted Trail for the KIDS HOURS will be the trails decorated with spooky Halloween decorations and lights.

  • Fair Themed Field:

    In our event space there will be large, blow up Halloween decorations on display. This will be an excellent place for you to take cool photos and tag us on Instagram using #AnimalParkNC! In the field, there will also be some cool, fair like games such as corn hole, can knock, ring toss, and bin the ball. Prizes will be candy!

"Adult Hours"

4 to 9pm.
Available activities will include:
  • Haunted Park Tour:

    The Haunted Twilight Experience tour for the ADULT HOURS will start at 4pm and will include treat and enrichment experiences for our animals given by the tour guide. After the tour, guests are welcome to enjoy the Haunted Trail, Fair Themed Field or some spooky Legends and Lore by the fire!

  • Haunted Trail:

    The Haunted Trail for the ADULT HOURS will be the same decorated trails but at night. There will also be volunteers and staff members dressed in costumes to scare the walkers. A true haunted, and terrifying, scary trail!

  • Fair Themed Field:

    In our event space there will be large, blow up Halloween decorations on display. This will be an excellent place for you to take cool photos and tag us on Instagram using #AnimalParkNC! In the field, there will also be some cool, fair like games such as corn hole, can knock, ring toss, and bin the ball. Prizes will be candy!

Details For Your Visit to the Animal Park at the Conservators Center

Accessibility, Safety, and Pets


The Animal Park is not wheelchair accessible; however, accessibility accommodations are available for visitors with mobility issues. Please note that we do not allow unauthorized vehicles, including scooters or motorized wheelchairs, in the park. You can find more information about disability accommodations and handicapped access in the Tour FAQ on our Plan Your Visit page. Please note that strollers are also not permitted in the park.

If you are planning to visit the Animal Park, please take a moment to review and complete our online tour waiver. If you would like, you can also download and print the waiver and photography release forms to fill out and complete prior to your arrival. Waivers will also be available in the gift shop for visitors to complete during the check-in process.


For safety reasons, the Animal Park does not allow visitors to bring pets on site. Any visitor who brings an animal to the Park will be asked to leave immediately. We do not allow visitors to leave animals unattended in a vehicle at any time of year.
